ALL THE WAY

-- the entire distance, from start to finish

All the way,…

I’m not sure if I heard this line in yesterday’s sermon or whether we sang it in a hymn, but these words lingered in my mind : “All the way”.

What does this phrase mean to you? For me, it is a comfort. Online this explanation just warmed my heart — the entire distance, from start to finish. 🥹

My mind was drawn to the hymn  I’ll share below.
What can I say? Music ministers to me.☺️
Let me share the first stanza of this beautiful hymn and the remaining stanzas at the end.

1. All the way my Saviour leads me.
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt his tender mercy,
Who thru’ life has been my Guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.

For I know whate’er befall me Jesus doeth all things well!
Lord help our unbelief!
Help us keep our eyes fixed on You through all the storms of this life.
Help us never to forget that You oh Lord are with us.
You are our Guide, our Peace, our Strength!
You oh Lord are our Everything!

You are with us all the way on this earthly journey.
Our days are in Your hands; our moments, our years.

The hymn, “All the way my Saviour leads me”,  was written by Fanny Crosby. Let’s look at the life of this hymn writer.
Fanny Crosby, born on March 24, 1820 (wow!) was an American mission worker, poet, lyricist and composer. She wrote more than 8000 hymns and gospel songs.
She was known as the “ Queen of Gospel Song Writers” and “Mother of modern congregational singing in America”.
At six weeks of age, Crosby lost her vision. Yet she did not view it as a tragedy.
Some hymns she wrote include:
• Blessed Assurance
• To God Be the Glory
• Pass Me Not, O Gentle Saviour
• Safe in the Arms of Jesus
• I Am Thine O Lord
God can use us once we make ourselves available to Him, even if by worldly standards we may be lacking in something. What He requires is a willing heart who is dependent solely on Him. What a wow!

So,..let’s live our lives knowing that the I AM THAT I AM is with us all the way!
Praaaaaaaaaaaaaaaise the Lord!
Hallelujah!!!

Matthew 28:20 NIV – and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

2. All the way my Saviour leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread;
Gives me grace for ev’ry trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.
Tho’ my weary steps may falter,
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.

3. All the way my Saviour leads me;
Oh, the fullness of His love!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father’s house above.
When my spirit, cloth’d immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song thru’ endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way.

God bless you!
