ARE YOU WILLING?

We are called to preach the Gospel in every nook and cranny of this world, empowered by the Holy Spirit. The commandment was :”Go”.

Are you willing?

This was one of the closing lines from the sermon in my church yesterday.
It’s always great to be left in a reflective mood after a talk, discussion, meeting or in this case, a sermon.

It’s one thing to hear the word of God and it’s another to put it into practice.
In my country Ghana, where ‘Christians’ are said to be in the majority, it’s amazing that amount of corruption we have. 🤦‍♀️

That begs the question, who is a Christian?
Do people really believe in God or they just say they do?
Are they allowing the Holy Spirit to transform them daily?
Do they dare to be different or simply follow the status quo?
More reflection huh?
And you 🫵🏽 reading, are you living to please God daily or simply living for yourself and gratifying the desires of the sinful nature?

James 2:18-20 NIV –
But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless.

I digress 😅
The title for the sermon was “Discipling the Marginalized- The Samaritan Woman” and the passage was John 4:16-27.
The Samaritan Woman 😀. Please read this blog if you haven’t: https://www.naalamiokor.com/come-and-see/

The marginalized; who are they?
They are people who are treated as less important or insignificant and are considered as people of lower status.
Do they not deserve to be loved?
Are they not human?
Do they not have souls that are in danger of going to hell if they don’t accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour?
We are called to preach the Gospel in every nook and cranny of this world, empowered by the Holy Spirit. The commandment was :”Go”.
If we were to look at each other through the lens of God, how differently we would treat each other. 🤔

The God who so loved the world that He gave. (John 3:16)
The Lord God in heaven who rejoices when a soul is won for Him. (Luke 15:7)
The Lord God who loves us with an everlasting love and commended that love to us – you and I even while we were yet sinners? (Jeremiah 31:3, Romans 5:8)

Lessons I picked from the sermon:
• No one is beyond the Saviour’s redemption.
• The Great Commission is all inclusive – everyone is important.
• We need to be intentional in our interactions.
• We must step out of our comfort zones.
• We need the Holy Spirit in this endeavour.
• Finding common ground in our interactions breaks the ice.
• Pray daily that God uses you.

Are you willing?
When did you last share your faith with someone?
When was the last time you led someone to receive the Lord Jesus as Saviour?
What are you waiting for?

Luke 9:26 NIV –
Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

God bless you!
😊🙏🏽
