Matchless love

The heading I initially had in mind was “Amazing Love”.
When I saw the world “matchless” yesterday in church (not sure if it was in a song, the sermon or a reading, I quickly changed to it)

The matchless love of God refers to His unconditional and unparalleled love (agape) displayed through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.
It is described as a, uncaused by human merit, enduring forever and unmatched in value, providing salvation, victory and peace to believers.
That is loaded!

You know how it’s so cool when someone is preaching a sermon and they come up with some 4P’s and stuff like that. Behold I do the same today! 😆

I came across a number of U’s which describe the love of God:
• Unparalleled – it is unique, superior, and unmatched by any earthly affection.

Isaiah 49:15-16 NIV – Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
16 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.

• Unreasonable – it doesn’t make sense to our human minds. God has loved mankind despite our persistent rebellion against Him.

Psalm 8:3-4 NIV –
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

• Unending – it is everlasting.

Jeremiah 31:3 NIV – :
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

• Unlimited – we cannot get out of it. Remember the Sunday school song? God’s love is so wonderful, it’s so high that you can’t get over it, it’s so low that you can’t get under it, it’s so wide that you can’t get out of it , oh wonderful love! God is love.

Psalm 139:7-8 NIV – Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

• Unchanging – since God is love, and He does not change, neither does His love for us!

Malachi 3:6 NIV –
“I the LORD do not change,..

• Unconditional – nothing you or I have ever done could make God love us any less. No sin, no failure, nothing!

Romans 5:8 NIV – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

So,..my brother, my sister you have no excuse to doubt the love of God!

Don’t let circumstances make you question it even though the evil one may try to get you to do this.

God is love and even when we may be going through what we may consider the worst experience in our lives, God has promised to be with us.

Our God is simply awesome!

God thank You for Your unfailing love!
We bless Your name now and forevermore.
Amen!

God bless you!
😊🙏🏽
