Quiet Confidence

Quiet confidence in God means having a deep, calm trust in God's nature and promises that result in inner peace, steadfastness, even amidst lifeโ€™s challenges and uncertainty.

I almost made a grammatical error! ๐Ÿ˜…
No, quiet confidence is not an oxymoron; it describes a real psychological state of deep self assurance and composure, not a contradiction in terms.

The quiet confidence Iโ€™m speaking of is not in ourselves as humans, but in God. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

In life itโ€™s so easy to swerve to one side or the other isnโ€™t it? Remaining on the path is another thing altogether. It takes discipline, it takes intentionality, it takes resolve, it takes having a purpose and it takes having a vision of where we are going. Neither being under confident nor over confident is good. Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16;18)

Does confidence have to be quiet?
No, it doesnโ€™t, but as I read online, quiet confidence is a genuine and powerful form of self assurance that doesnโ€™t require external validation or loud pronouncements. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Quiet confidence in God means having a deep, calm trust in God’s nature and promises that result in inner peace, steadfastness, even amidst lifeโ€™s challenges and uncertainty.
I found myself at a crossroad a few days ago. ย I had two choices, either to worry and get worked up, or trust God and experience His peace.
I chose the latter and God gave me the peace that passes all understanding. I chose to trust God. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Do you recall what Hezekiah, king of Judah did when he received a disturbing letter that threatened his peace and the peace of his people? (2 Kings 19:14) He went to the temple of God and spread it out before the Lord and prayed. This act demonstrated his dependence on God. He physically and symbolically placed his burden before God. What is weighing you down? What gives you sleepless nights? You have a God and He is just waiting for you to turn to Him. He is more than able! Fix your eyes on Him.

1 Peter 5:7 NIV – Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

The verse doesn’t say cast some of your anxiety; we are to castย all of it.

In what or who have you placed your confidence in?
Your work, an individual, some property?
The arm of flesh will fail you, you dare not trust your own.

Psalm 146:3-5 NIVย
Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
4 When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
on that very day their plans come to nothing.
5ย Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the LORD their God.

Psalm 20:7 NIV
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

Trust God. Heโ€™s got the whole world in His hands and nothing can snatch us out of His hands. (John 10:29)
We are engraved in the palm of His hands and though others may forget us, He never will! ๐Ÿฅฐ (Isaiah 49:15,16)

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIVย
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

God bless you!

Wow, what a good reminder today. Our confidence is in the Lord. Ps.118:8 also tells us so. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans.
God bless you for blessing us. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

I think this is the first time I myself am commenting on a blog and not just in reply to someone.
    Interesting isn’t it?
I have myself been blessed by this write up and as I do often, I’ve read through it several times.
It speaks to me each time.
God help us trust You more.
    God is faithful

Psalm 50:9-10 NIV – have no need of a bull from your stall
or of goats from your pens,
10 for every animal of the forest is mine,
and the cattle on a thousand hills.

    This is our God oooh.
    Why do we fret?
    Why do we worry?
    Why?

Matthew 6:26-27 NIV – Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Yesterday I had another moment and I chose to trust and God came through in such an amazing way.
As I was pondering on the situation,.the song “Confidence” came to mind
I was reminded who my confidence is. The Mighty Lord God!

This is almost a whole new write up on its own! ๐Ÿ˜…
All.glroy to the great God of wonders!
