WAITING ON GOD

I was ecstatic when I was able to log into my website once again. We’ve had some Internet issues around my side of the world. 😬

What comes to mind when you hear the phrase “wait on the Lord“?
I consider it an active and not a passive process involving an individual looking to God for answers as they plod on in this crazy world πŸ˜….

As we do that we are strengthened in Him.
Active in the sense that we keep on keeping on – reading our Bibles, praying, fellowshipping with other believers, trusting and obeying.

I’m sure for many people the words of Isaiah 40:31 comes to mind. It’s such an encouraging piece of Scripture.
Life gets to all of us at one point of time or the other; at many, in fact.
It can be downright exhausting! 🀦🏾🀦🏾
BUT GOD! πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

We have a God who NEVER FAILS.
Whose FAITHFULNESS IS FOREVERMORE.
He is not a man to lie NOR A SON OF MAN TO CHANGE HIS MIND.
Once He has said it HE WILL DO IT.
FAITHFUL IS HE who has promised.

Let’s see what I found online on this topic:

  • In the scriptures, the word wait means to hope, to anticipate, and to trust.
  • To hope and trust in the Lord requires faith, patience, humility, meekness, long-suffering, keeping the commandments, and enduring to the end.
  • We put our hold on the Lord and don’t let Him go until we receive His provision, solution, deliverance, or answer.
  • Waiting upon the Lord means fixing our gaze on Him: on His invisible and eternal qualities, on His character, and His love.
  • This is an act of faith and trust in Him; an attitude of expectancy that He will surely show off in our lives so we can experience His presence and care
  • To wait upon the Lord in all situations and every day of our lives is a kind of testing.
  • This testing stretches our faith and helps us live focused on the invisible, eternal realm.

Sounds very active to me! πŸ€“

Let’s read:

Isaiah 40:27-31 NLT –
O Jacob, how can you say the LORD does not see your troubles?

O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?
28 Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?

The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.

29 He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.

30 Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.

31 But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.

They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

God bless you! πŸ€—
Let’s wait on the Lord,..He shall surely renew our strength!
Amen and Amen!!!
