HE HOLDS US TOGETHER

You're the keeper, protector It is You that holds us together When everything else fails us It is You that holds us together

God indeed does hold us together.

My oh my.
Where do I start?
I have had ups and I have had downs.
I have had days I despaired of life itself.
Days I awoke and wondered why I was still alive.
Days I prayed that I would die in my sleep.
BUT GOD!

This reminds me of the prophet Elijah.
A mighty man of God who came to such a point of despair in his own life.
I identify with it and I see that indeed he was human.

1 Kings 19:3-5 NIV –
Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there,
4 while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, LORD,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” 5 Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep.

Many characters in the Bible almost seem superhuman.
• David facing Goliath with such audacity.

1 Samuel 17:45 NIV – David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

• Shadrach , Meschach and Abednego speaking to king Nebuchadnezzar with such confidence.

Daniel 3:17-18 NIV – If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

• Joseph, not paying back his brothers in kind. I mean, really, they sold their own flesh and blood into slavery and had even considered killing him.
BUT GOD!

God makes all the difference doesn’t He. He sure does. I am a living testimony. 😁

2 Timothy 1:7 NIV – For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

The song I will share below is what I fell on in those low days and is the song I love to sing now.
I come against the spirit of depression in my life in Jesus’ Name and I pray the same for you.

My brother, my sister, HE IS IN THE ROOM!

HE is none other, than the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Philippians 2:9-11 NIV – Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

I’ll end with some words of my most prized song. 😆

Even in the darkness, You will be my light
Even when I’m hopeless, You will be my guide
I will not be shaken, I will not be moved
Even in the chaos, I know that You’re good
You’re the keeper, protector
It is You that holds us together
When everything else fails us
It is You that holds us together

God bless you!
😊🙏🏽

In our most challenging times, it’s comforting to remember that our God is always by our side, embracing us and uniting us even when we feel at our lowest. Thank you 🙏

Indeed it is such a comfort. He is always with us and has promised never to leave nor forsake us.
      Amen and amen!
