I donโ€™t know about you, but one thing that gets me excited is the love of God.

GOD IS LOVE.
God first loved us. (1 John 4:10)
God loves us with an everlasting love. (Jeremiah 31:3)
God says that as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love towards us. (Psalm 103:11)
God has engraved us in the very palm of His hands. (Isaiah 49:16)
God, knows the number of hairs on our heads. (Luke 12:7)

1 John 3:1 KJV –
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.

God hates sin, but loves the sinner.
I heard this yesterday and I was in awe – even those who are in hell and are making their way to hell – God loves them. But they have made and are making their choice.
God loves even them, but they haveย chosen and are choosing to reject the Good News. (Good News, Good News, Christ died for me, if I believe, I’m saved eternally, such wonderful, extra! Good News)

God’s love is perfect.
It is all consuming .
It is boundless.
It is overwhelming.
It is reckless! This is the one I love the most. He would leave the 99 just for one lost sheep!

“Reckless love of God” means God’s love is an overwhelming, overflowing, and pursuing force that is utterly unconcerned with its own well-being or the potential consequences to itself, prioritizing the rescue and restoration of people without limit or caution. While “reckless” typically has negative connotations of carelessness, in this context, it emphasizes the boundless, unconditional, and sacrificial nature of God’s love, often illustrated by the parable of the lost sheep or the story of a father rescuing his child from a dangerous situation, rather than suggesting God is truly careless or lacks foresight.

Iโ€™m simply in awe of it.

God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. (Numbers 23;19)
This : A man or woman may tell you today that they love you and promise you the sun, moon and stars, and yet years later, tell you that they donโ€™t love you anymore; friends may come and go; BUT GOD!
A God who would send His own Son to die for us, such a death on a Cross; that is love!

God’s love is so wonderful,
Itโ€™s so high, that you canโ€™t get over it.
Itโ€™s so low that you canโ€™t get under it.
Itโ€™s so wide that you canโ€™t get out of it.
Oh, wonderful love!

One of the things that has greatly impacted my life and how I relate to others is this : I receive, acknowledge and accept God’s great love for me, I ย love myself as a wonderful and fearfully-made creation of the Most High and armed with that, I am able to love my neighbour.
This is the cycle – accept Godโ€™s love, love yourself, and only then are you able to love others. You cannot give what you do not have.

Iโ€™ll end with these words:

John 3:16-18 NIV – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Godโ€™s one and only Son.

Please listen to the song – Reckless Love to the very end. There is a powerful spoken word within the song.

God bless you!
And never forget this – GOD LOVES YOU! ๐Ÿซต๐Ÿฝ
