FEED MY LAMBS

Feed my lambs. 😊

John 21:15 NLT –
“Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.”
“Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him.

Children are a gift from God.
I recall this from my days in medical school when it came to taking a history from a pregnant woman – we were to ask whether a pregnancy was planned or not and also added if it was welcomed or not 😃.
I know that there is a lot of controversy around the world where it comes to this , but the Bible says what it has to say and as Christians, we know that abortion is not of God.

Every child is a gift from God irrespective of the circumstances around conception. I do acknowledge that this is a hard statement, but it is truth.

We had Children’s Sunday in my church yesterday, it was an amazing time.
I was so proud as a mum to see my two boys performing: one was in the choir and the other did a choreography. I love the enthusiasm with which they did it. There were no complaints of being forced and isn’t that how it should be in the house of the Lord?

To give and give, and give again,
What God hath given thee;
To spend thyself nor count the cost;
To serve right gloriously
The God who gave all worlds that are,
And all that are to be.

We are stewards of the children in our lives. They may not be our biological children, but once God puts any child in your life, it certainly isn’t by mistake.

What does the Bible say?

Matthew 19:14 NIV – Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Proverbs 22:6 NLT –
Direct your children onto the right path,
and when they are older, they will not leave it.

These are some points I took from the sermon when it was directed to us as parents and guardians:

• we must be intentional
• we must be innovative
• we need deep reliance on God through prayer
• teamwork is required
• continuous growth and discipleship on our part is needed
• God upholds families

We are bringing up the next generation and if they don’t know who their God is, how sad it would be. Terrible in fact. 😕

Judges 2:10 NIV –
After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel.

So gird your loins and let’s all put in the work, with the Trinity backing us and bring up our kids well to be responsible men and woman after God’s heart.
He is able,

We shall surely give an account for our stewardship. May the good Lord help us to be responsible parents and guardians and a good example to them. May they grow up knowing who their God is and may their lives be built on the solid foundation of Christ – Christ alone!

God bless you!

As parents we have a big task in raising the children in the way of the Lord. May God help every parent.

      A big amen to that!
The world is a much sicker place than it was when we were growing up.

      God give us grace!
      Amen and amen!
