CORNERSTONE

This word gives off the feeling of something very strong and vital. πŸ€“

What is the definition for a cornerstone?
A cornerstone can be defined as the following :
‒ an important quality or feature on which a particular thing depends or is based.
‒ a stone that forms the base of a corner of a building, joining two walls.

Biblically speaking, the word β€˜cornerstone’ is an architectural term used in the Bible to speak of the exalted Jesus as the chief foundation stone of the church, the cornerstone on which all the building depends.

Wow!
Note the synonym – foundation. We all know how important a foundation is to any structure. It keeps that structure firm in the ground and able to stand and withstand natural disasters like floods and storms.
πŸ€“πŸ™πŸ½

Christ is our firm foundation!

On Christ the solid Rock I stand
ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND!

Let’s read:

Ephesians 2:17-22 NIV –

He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,

20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

1 Peter 2:7 NIV – Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,
β€œThe stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone,”

The cornerstone is either a source of blessing or judgement, depending on one’s attitude toward it. Those who believe are blessed and those who stumble over that rock chosen by God are condemned.
Who is Jesus Christ to you?

You know I’ll answer πŸ˜…πŸ˜‡
He is so much to me – the Lover of my soul, my Saviour, my Everything, none compares to Him; He is the Love of my life! πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

As our cornerstone, Christ should be our point of reference in every facet of our lives.

Jesus at the center of it all
Jesus at the center of it all
From beginning to the end
It will always be, it’s always been
You Jesus Jesus

Nothing else matters
Nothing in this world will do
Jesus You’re the center
everything revolves around You
Jesus You

God bless you! πŸ€—
