KNOWING JESUS

By Carol Clegg-Lamptey Last updated: April 8, 2024 3 Min Read

All I once held dear, built my life upon
All this world reveres, and wars to own
All I once thought gain I have counted loss
Spent and worthless now, compared to this

Knowing You, Jesus
Knowing You
There is no greater thing
You’re my all, You’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
And I love You, Lord

I was touched by the words of this song in church yesterday. The song sounded new, but old. A song I can’t remember how long ago I sang or heard. Wow!

Indeed there is no greater thing than to know Jesus. Not know about Jesus or of Jesus, but to know Him as your Lord and personal Saviour and all His wonderful attributes.

What does it mean to know Jesus? I came across the following online:
– To know Jesus is to know the Father.
– To know Jesus is to share in His Sufferings.
– To know Jesus is to recognise His Voice.
– To know Jesus is to have Eternal Life.
– To know Jesus is to grow in grace and knowledge of Him.

Some boast in their titles, their possessions, their name, their accomplishments; but today, I, Carol Emily Naa Lamiokor choose to boast that I know Jesus and that this Jesus is the Lord of my life and the lover of my soul. 😍🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
What is your boast??

There is none like Him.
He is high and lifted up.
He is all knowing, all powerful.
He is God the Son.
He is Saviour of the world.

People may use His name in vain, but that Name causes confusion. AT THE NAME OF JESUS, every knee will bow and every tongue confess, that He is Lord of all.
Every single one!
I pray everyone does that for themselves before they breathe their last or Christ returns.
Lord have mercy! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

John 17:3 NIV –
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom to you have sent.

2 Peter 3:18 NIV –
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

1 John 2:3-4 NIV –
We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.
4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.

God bless you! 🤗
Let’s strive everyday to know Jesus more and more.
He makes life worth a living, just knowing that He lives!
Amen!
