When God Does it,..

Have you noticed something?
When God does it, He really does it??
And when God does, it’s plain for everyone to see the miracle in it??

I recall the stories of how the Israelites crossed the Red Sea, how David fought Goliath, the three friends in the fiery furnace, Abraham and Sarah having a child in their old age, the birth of Jesus to a virgin, how God got me through that exam with flying colours when I was probably the weakest candidate, how God made me pass yet another exam when I was well and truly depressed!

Many a time, we find ourselves trying hard to do things on our own and in our own strength;  but when we hand over the reins to God, we wonder why we didn’t surrender earlier! 😅🤦🏽‍♀️
And yet, with the short memories that we have as human beings , we tend to make this mistake over and over again.
But we must remember to let go and let God.

God can do it better than we could ever could.

What does it mean to let go, let God?

I found these 6 meanings:
1. Let go of perceived control and strength. God always maintains full control of situations around us, even the painful scary ones. He invites us to rest in His strength. (Matthew 11:28)
2. Let go of entitlement. Gods ways are not our ways, neither are His thought ours. God helps us swap our pride for humility and patience as we submit our ways to Him, He straightens our path. (Proverbs 3:5,6)
3. Let go of worry. God has repeatedly told us in His word not to worry or fear. He offers supernatural peace amidst financial  challenges, sickness and much more. (Philippians 4:6,7)
4. Let God show His power. A problem may seem massive, but really is there any issue too big for God?? No way!!! (Jeremiah 32:27)
5. Let God comfort you. Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7).  Remember Jonah and how upset He was when God did not destroy Nineveh. Yet God comforted Hum by growing a tree to shade hum from the hot son even when Jonah had sinned in His heart. What a God! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
6. Let God become the focus of your life. This point! Fix your eyes on Jesus and even when the storms are all about you, you shall walk on water!!!! 💃🏽💃🏽 When our gaze is fixed on the Lord, when we’re still and quiet, all our confusion settles down. We feel Gods comforting presence and discern His direction. (Hebrews 12:2)

How can we achieve this as believers?
– By nurturing fellowship with other believers. We encourage each other in the Lord and in this journey of life.
– We must discover Gods promises in His word.
– We must read about the promises kept. When God says He will do something, He does it. He is not a man to lie nor to change His mind.
– We must kneel before God, hands out and fists unclenched. Surrender. 😊

I’ll end with an illustration; picture a child holding a toy in his hands. He loves that toy. Yet Jesus sits before Him, hiding an even bigger toy behind Him. That child is you and I. God is asking you to let go of that toy and trust that He has even better things in store for you. Are you ready to let go, let God??

God bless you!
