An everyday hallelujah.
As I write this, I smile. I recall a week ago when we watched the halftime show of the 2026 World Cup final. Amidst all the singing and dancing, Justin Bieber appeared on stage and sang his song, I’m sure to the surprise of many, “Everything Hallelujah”.
Praise the Lord indeed.
Hallelujah!
“Hallelujah” should not be limited to church or big life events. It should be part of our everyday lives, however mundane the days may be or trying.
Every day we encounter miracles. May we never take them for granted.
I’ve got miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all
Can you count them?
I certainly can’t!
Last week, we were exhorted to live our lives daily in praise and gratitude to our Maker at a birthday service I attended. Indeed each day is a gift, whatever season we find ourselves in.
God is still God and God is still good, no matter what!
Psalm 34:1-2 ESV –
I will bless the LORD at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in the LORD;
let the humble hear and be glad.
Psalm 103:1-2 NIV –
Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits
Below are words from the song “Everyday Hallelujah” by Phil Wickham:
In the joy and in the pain
In the sun and in the rain
Every breath gonna bless Your name
Here’s my everyday hallelujah
For the love and for the grace
For the hope that’s never gonna fade away
Let my life be a life of praise
Here’s my everyday hallelujah.
I’ll end with the words of a hymn.
Let’s reflect on the words:
Fill Thou my life, O Lord my God,
In every part with praise,
That my whole being may proclaim
Thy being and Thy ways.
Not for the lip of praise alone,
Nor e’en the praising heart,
I ask, but for a life made up
Of praise in every part:
Praise in the common things of life,
Its goings out and in;
Praise in each duty and each deed,
However small and mean.
Fill every part of me with praise;
Let all my being speak
Of Thee and of Thy love, O Lord,
Poor though I be and weak.
So shall no part of day or night
From sacredness be free,
But all my life, in every step,
Be fellowship with Thee.
Praise to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be.
World without end.
Amen!
Praaaaaaise the Lord!
Hallelujah!!!!!
