Alas, and did my Saviour bleed? And did my Sovereign die? Would He devote that sacred head. For such a worm as I?
At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light, And the burden of my heart rolled away, It was there by faith I received my sight , And now I am happy all the day!
The above is the first verse and refrain of one of my favourite Easter hymns.
What does the cross signify to the believer?
For me, signifies love. For Christ to lay aside His majesty, come down from heaven to earth to show the way. From heaven to earth, earth to the cross, cross to the grave, grave to the sky!
What a mighty God we serve!
This is what I found online 😊

• The cross means Love ❤️. Romans 5:8
• The cross is personal.
• The cross is willful humility.
• The cross is prophetic. Isaiah 53 comes to mind.
• The cross is final. I love this!

1 Peter 3:18 NIV – For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

The debt is paid!

Romans 8:1-2 NIV – Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord
Let the earth hear His voice
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord
Let the people rejoice
Come to the Father
Through Jesus the Son
Give Him the glory
Great things He has done

Indeed,…we have more than a reason to,…

Praaaaaaaise God!!!!
