HOLY FOREVER

By Carol Clegg-Lamptey Last updated: December 13, 2023 4 Min Read

What a mighty God we serve
Angels bow before Him
Heaven and earth adore Him
What a mighty God we serve.

Is God not good??
He is good, all the time; and all the time He is good!!!
πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

He is a Holy God.
More than worthy of all our praise and worship.

Who is like onto Him??
Absolutely no one.
This song says it all β€” No one:

What does it mean when we say that God is Holy?
We refer to His absolute purity; He is unstained by sin and evil.
God is perfect in every way, and perfectly good all the time.
Wow!!!

In Isaiah 6:3
The seraphim called to each other β€”β€œ Holy, holy holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory,”

God hates sin. He is Holy.
Only God is Holy and we as His children can only be described as holy because God has made us so, setting us apart.
The term holy I found is applied to persons or objects that have some type of relationship with the Lord – they are set apart for His service.
Wow!!

Let’s read this passage together:

Psalm 96:1-13 NIV –

Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.

2 Sing to the LORD, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.

3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

4 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.

5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the LORD made the heavens.

6 Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and glory are in his sanctuary.

7 Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

8 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come into his courts.

9 Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness;
tremble before him, all the earth.

10 Say among the nations, β€œThe LORD reigns. ”
The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved;
he will judge the peoples with equity.

11 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.

12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.

13 Let all creation rejoice before the LORD, for he comes,
he comes to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples in his faithfulness.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness;
bow down before Him, His glory proclaim;
with gold of obedience, and incense of lowliness,
kneel and adore Him: the Lord is His name.

GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

    We ascribe greatness to our God. If a Holy God could love us like this. What more do we need. We will forever praise His name. Thanks so much Carol.
