God keeps us in sooo many ways!
Praise His holy name! πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

As we led the church to sing the song β€˜ Kept by the power of God’, I pondered on the words more deeply. πŸ€”

Kept by the power of God
Day by day, come what may
Kept by the power of God!
πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

That is confidence in our God!
No matter what may come our way, we are kept by Him! πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½

What does it mean to keep something?
To keep something is to have possession of, to cause or continue in a specified position or course.

What does it mean to be kept by God?
It means we are carefully attended to and taken care of by God.
What a Father!
He knows us inside out, even the hairs on our head are numbered! (Luke 12:7) 😍πŸ₯°
Psalm 139 comes to mind. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ½

Jude 1:24-25 NIV – To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joyβ€” 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

‒ We are kept by God, for God – something that was completed in the past,
‒ God is able to keep us – something He will continue to do.
‒ He kept us in the past and will continue to keep us in the future.
Amen ooh!!! πŸ˜„πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

We also have a responsibility.

Jude 1:20-21 NIV – But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

We must know, believe and keep trusting in God’s love even in our struggles. God wants us to keep ourselves in His love at all times – especially in our trials and temptations.
Even if, even though, even when,…God is Sovereign and Jesus reigns! πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

Trials and temptations may come my way
I won’t be moved, I will be firm
Because I know that – day by day, come what may
Kept by the power of God!

This is one of my favourite verses:

Isaiah 26:3 NIV –
You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.

So, no matter what you may be going through, know that God is more than able to keep you. Remain in Him as He has commanded (John 15:4)

God never promised us a problem free life, but He promised to be with us through it all.
May we be able to say these words:

Through it all, through it all,
I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God.
Through it all, through it all,
I’ve learned to depend upon His Word.

God bless you!
