Thank you,..
This is a phrase which is considered a courteous response when anything good is done for us.
It is a polite expression of gratitude used when acknowledging a gift, favour or service. It is said to validate the recipient’s actions, builds interpersonal connections, and functions as a social grace.
In other words, it’s no small phrase. 😅

As human beings, we find ourselves getting offended by others when they fail to say “thank you”.
Even with my own children, I watch them like a hawk when they receive something from others or even myself.
When I see that the phrase is not coming, I quickly chip in the leading question – “What do you say?”.

Today, I say a biiiiiig “THANK YOU!” to God.
He has been good.
When we say God is good, we are acknowledging God as the ultimate, unchanging standard of perfection.

God is good all the time
And all the time God is good!

We declare with the above phrase that God’s loving character, love and faithfulness never change, regardless of our current circumstances or difficulties.

I celebrated my birthday two days ago and the outpouring of love “overed” me.
I reflected on my life – the ups and the downs and I see God’s hand through it all.
He was and is with me and He’s with you too.

Recall the story of the 10 lepers.
How many came back to thank Jesus??

Luke 17:14-19 NIV –
When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.
16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?
18 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”
19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

May that never be said of you and me . We will give our God thanks no matter what.
Even as we present our requests to God, (Philippians 4:6 and 7), we are exhorted to do so with thanksgiving!

Father in heaven, I thank You for Your grace, Your love and Your mercies that are new every morning Lord, You have been good. I thank You that even though I may not be where I want to be, I’m certainly not where I used to be.
I thank You for being with me through the flood and the fire.
Thank You that You oh Lord are the fourth man in the fire. Indeed your presence with me is more than a 1000 against me!
May Your amazing name be magnified now and forevermore.
Amen!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV –
16 Rejoice always,
17 pray continually,
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

God bless you!
😊🙏🏽
