JESUS!!!

Carol Clegg-Lamptey

Oh, how I love that Name.
Oh how I love that man!
How I can I not love Him?
He did for me, for you, what no one else could do.
He died for us; a painful, agonizing , disgraceful death 😢
And yet , He exuded nothing but love!

I love that man of Galilee,
For He has done so very much for me.
He has taken away my sins,
And now He lives in me.
I love I love that man of Galilee!
Ooooh yes!!!

Can you imagine such a love?

The movie – The Passion of the Christ, tries to depict what our Lord and Saviour went through for our redemption.
The whip that lashed His back; makes me tear just thinking of it.
His own creation scorned Him, slapped Him , mocked Him, and yet, not a word.
He could have called legion of angels down to His defence, yet He did not.

And men dare to make mockery of this.
They reject Him?!!
Mercy Lord,…mercy,..🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

You laid aside Your majesty, gave up everything for me.
Suffered at the hands of those You had created.
You took all my guilt and shame
When You died and rose again
Now today You reign
And heaven and earth exalt You

This passage here always gets to me:

Philippians 2:1-11 NIV –

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.

8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!

9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

What more is there to say??

He is Lord!
He has risen from the dead, He is Lord!
Every knee shall bow,
Every tongue confess,
That Jesus Christ is Lord.

We shall confess it now or at the end of the age or at both sides of eternity.
I pray we all find ourselves in the ‘both’ category.

Amen!
